1. SMS Consent & Use of Phone Numbers

When you provide your mobile phone number and give consent to receive SMS messages from The Spine Works, your number will only be used for communication related to your care.

Your phone number will not be sold, shared, or disclosed to any third parties for marketing purposes.

We take patient privacy seriously and use SMS solely to support your appointments, care coordination, and communication needs.

2. Types of SMS Communications You May Receive

By opting in, you may receive text messages related to the following:

  • Appointment reminders

  • Follow-up instructions or check-in messages

  • Schedule updates or confirmations

  • Billing or account inquiries

  • Clinic notifications (closures, delays, policy updates)

  • Patient care–related communication

Example Message:
“Hello, this is a friendly reminder of your upcoming appointment with Dr. Zachary Farmer at The Spine Works on [Date] at [Time]. Reply STOP to opt out of SMS messaging at any time.”

Standard messaging disclosures apply.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your care plan and scheduling activity.

Example Statement:
“You may receive up to 2–5 SMS messages per week regarding your appointments, billing status, or patient care updates. Message frequency may vary.”

4. SMS Messaging Fees

Your mobile carrier may charge message or data fees for SMS messages sent or received.
Charges depend on your carrier’s pricing structure and service plan.

The Spine Works is not responsible for any message or data fees imposed by your mobile provider.

5. Opt-In Method (Written Consent Required)

Because our messaging falls under Customer Care and Public Service Announcements, written consent is required before receiving SMS communications.

You may opt in to receive SMS messages from The Spine Works by:

  • Submitting an online form

  • Completing a paper intake form

  • Checking the SMS consent box during digital onboarding

By opting in, you confirm you are the authorized user of the phone number provided.

6. Opt-Out Method

You may opt out of SMS messaging at any time.

To unsubscribe, reply STOP to any message received from us.
To resume messages, reply START.

Once opted out, you will receive no further SMS communication until you choose to opt back in.

7. Standard Messaging Disclosures

  • Standard messaging rates are determined by your mobile provider.
